H is for Human

H is for Human "A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty." ― Albert Einstein

Perhaps you've heard it said that we are spiritual beings having a human experience, but what does that mean? I think it's a matter of focus, that is, it's how far and how big you can see or imagine. If you believe that this life is everything, is all there is then, it might be more difficult for you. You live in a five-sense reality. True, it's enough to deal with the everyday of this place, what with trying to survive, figure out how to pay the bills, acquire what society has said you should want, cultivate some kind of connection with others, etc. Certainly in the U.S. this is what I see. People running like hamsters on a wheel trying to keep up, make it, meet the status quo. It's dizzying. And crazy. There is no time for real connection and interaction with others outside of the immediate family unit. We are all living in our insular worlds trying to keep it all together as a slew of indignities happen right in front of us. How many murders, perverse crimes, political games, consumer overkill, abuses of one kind or another does a human have to endure?

"You are one thing only. You are a Divine Being. An all-powerful Creator. You are a Deity in jeans and a t-shirt, and within you dwells the infinite wisdom of the ages and the sacred creative force of All that is, will be and ever was." ― Anthon St. Maarten

Still, if you see beyond the immediate 3D reality, if you see the bigger picture, perhaps, then, you can realize the spiritual being part of yourself. It transcends what's right in front of our noses. With a more metaphysical perspective, you may indeed look with eyes that are more objective. Be in the world but not of the world, so-to-speak. Taking a step back helps to take you out of the immediacy of situations where it is difficult to find solutions. And it is difficult to find them if you only have the soup they're made from with which to try.

"I didn't know I had it in me. There's more to all of us than we realize. Life is so much bigger, grander, higher, and wider than we allow ourselves to think. We're capable of so much more than we allow ourselves to believe." ― Queen Latifah

Take a step toward bringing the divine nature within you out into expression. Become what writer, Gary Zukav, describes as a "multi-sensory human." Use your five-senses and then some to get about the business of lighting up this dark world. At the level of spirit, of energy, we are all one being fractured into the many here on earth. It's time for more of us to do what we know and shine a little brighter. Each one t/reach one, I say. Bring heaven out of your consciousness and into material reality.
