Hey everyone. This is just a quick note to let you know that we are very thankful to have made it through the storm with all our tall trees still intact. Our yard is a huge mess, and my backyard is still a swamp (ohhh Turtle Man), but I did get to go to work, and my kids got to go out tonight and rake in some candy. I pulled off two Face Off style make-up jobs in 30 minutes complete with fake elf ears, yes you read it right, and the glue to attach them. One child was Arwen and the other was the Evil Queen from Snow White. They looked pretty awesome. Did I mention they picked these out and liked making them from items we had on hand? Love it. I spent about $12 total on ears and adhesive glue. I had the face-painting make-up, so we were set. On the rainy day off from school on Monday, the Evil Queen made her crown. We actually forgot one item she was going to make, but no one noticed (a glow scepter). Ahhh. Childhood. What a fun time.
