So I put this baby to the test.
It's competition?
Now I will tell you the honest truth. If you've spent your life buying cheap hair dryers at Walmart & Target - you are really missing out.
I used to purchase the cheapest hair dryer I could...whatever would just 'do the job'. Then a girl I worked with told me that if I invested some money in a good hair dryer I would notice a HUGE difference. So I went out and dropped about $40-50 on the one you see above. She didn't lie to me. It cut my hair drying time in half. And my hair looked a lot healthier.
So, I wanted HANAair to prove the same thing.
I liked the sleek packaging. Another plus was the concentrator attachment.
Once I pulled the dryer out and further inspected it, I found a few other things I was truly jazzed about.
It's small and lightweight. Definitely lighter than my Remington.
It has heat and speed settings & has a cool switch. The Remington also has these options, but they aren't as great. Remington's "Hot" makes you scalp feel like it's on fire. That doesn't keep me from using it on that setting every day, but it can be painful sometimes. You also have to hold "Cool" down the entire time you want the air to be cold.
Not on the HANAair. Their "Hot" setting is just warm and their "Cool" button is actually a switch. Just click it in and it will stay cold until you re-click the button. You may be thinking "If it's not as hot, it probably doesn't dry as fast"...Read below to see that this was definitely NOT the case.
The last thing I loved is that it has an insanely long cord. You would appreciate this if you share a sink with your husband. I can stand in the bedroom, sit on my bed, or walk to open our bedroom door with this hairdryer still plugged into the bathroom wall.
So I performed the ultimate test.Dry my hair with both dryers under the exact same conditions and see how things played out.
I got out of the shower, threw my hair in a towel for 2 minutes and then dried my hair. No products.
Remington dried my hair in 4 minutes. HANAair did it in 3.
I usually have product in my hair, which makes it take longer to dry. I have to have product otherwise my hair is poofy, frizzy and weird.
A minute difference may not sound like much, but it is. And on top of that, the biggest thing is how your hair looks at the end of those few minutes.
Here is where I was floored:
The picture on the left is my hair after drying with the Remington. On the right is after I used HANAair.
Remember: I added no product and used my hands & a regular brush to dry it.
The difference between 3-4 minutes may sound minuscule, but when my hair is so shiny and smooth that I don't need to add 10 minutes of flat ironing? THAT is huge.
I would never write something I don't believe. Honestly, I could have probably just written the post with the two pictures above. This hair dryer is awesome. It does exactly what it says it does, and leaves your hair healthy, smooth and straight.
Add in your typical hair products and it's even better.I've personally never found a hair dryer that makes my hair nice enough to wear "as is".I can now do my hair in 3 minutes.
