Happy 4th of July
"The President" is a nice American Restaurant in Copenhagen, where the dishes are named after the U.S. presidents. We dined at the President a forthnight ago.  I took a few snapshots with the iPhone, which I've edited in the Glaze-App, to give them a bit of a festive touch.

I ordered a Brutus Salad: A mix lettuce served with tomatoes, grained parmesan, croutons, chicken strips and the original Caesars dressing. The chicken stripes were tender and juicy, very delicious! My husband enjoyed greatly his Bush Senior Burger  -
Double cheeseburger served with bacon, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, onion, burger dressing and fries. Our juniors went for Nixon Burgers, that is, hamburgers served with lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, cheese and onions.
I know that hamburgers often are seen as a stereotype of the American kitchen ... I'd love to taste the different cuisines in the U.S.: Lobsters and clam chowders in New England, the barbeques in the Mid West, the exotic Hawaiian and Creol kitchens, among others... each town and Family has their own special recipes ... It would be lovely to make a culinaristic round trip across the country, from West to East Coast!

The President is decorated with flags and  portraits of the presidents - the mail colors used in decoration is blue, red and white. A nice detail in the decoration is the huge statues of football players hanging in the roof, wearing the massive and impressive football gear. European football is a smoother and "a lighter" game compared to the American Football, where the gear needs to be more protective.

The restaurant lies on the 3rd floor, with a nice view to the canals. Our youngest son enjoyed watching people and the water, while waiting for the food.
We had a nice and delicious Saturday afternoon - I hope one day we'll get to eat in a genuine, local American restaurant ... and experience this vast and beautiful country with the famous Stars and Stripes-flag!
Happy 4th of July
Wishing Happy Independence Day  to all my friends on the other side of the ocean! Nina
