I can't believe we're here at nine months! Nine months!! That's huge. Well, it feels huge to me at least.
See, originally I was just going to take nine months maternity leave and nine months seemed so far away when you were first born, but oh how they've flied.. They really have! It's a bit of a nice feeling to think you were in my belly for the same amount of time.
We woke up today and I don't know why, maybe it was just in my subconscious, but you seemed bigger. Older.
9 Month old Developments
+ Nearly crawling - you pull yourself up onto your knees, but you can't work out how to go just yet.
+ Copying me - We do fake screams and fake coughs together , it's pretty funny.
+ Eating better - you're able to eat so much more this month, we have blended Quorn for you (though we are cautious not to give you too much as it's a little salty). You eat a lot of the meals we do now (just small and blended) and things like bananas etc you can eat by yourself.
+ Standing against things with aid - you find this pretty funny, we're just waiting for you to learn to pull yourself up now.
+ Getting wise - in the sense that you know what's going on around you a lot more.. also in the sense of worming your way into Mummy and Daddys bed every night!
+ Understanding games - we've started to throw balls and soft cotton blocks back and fourth to each other.
+ Getitng about - Even though you technically don't 'crawl', you get about on your tummy. You're very good at going backwards.
+ Moaning! :( - maybe your teething.. you probably are. You've been making this ever so slightly annoying groaning noise a lot. It can be very hard for Mummy to listen to all day. I've read that it could be because you're near a milestone and are frustrated that you're not quite there yet or it could be teething or boredom.. we've mixed up the routine a bit and intruding teething granules and we seem to maybe be onto a winner.
It's worth mentioning that you went on a swing for the first time yesterday too! You liked it, although you we're very much intrigued by what the nearby builders were up to! You nosey thing!
Time is flying by baby, and it feels like I just wrote your 8 month update. I don't mind though.. I'm enjoying every single second with you. I love you... More than life. x
