Today is a very special day! It is my blog's first birthday, so I have had my blog a year today! AND It is Lucille Ball's 101st birthday! YAY!! I plan to do something very special for both birthday's later on and I will post about it of course. I just thought I should do a special birthday post dedicated to my blog and I will write the late Lucille Ball a birthday message... yeah.
My blog has come a long way. It is already somewhat well read. In all time history of my blog, it has gotten 27,122 page views!I am still just starting out, but I am so proud of my blog. I didn't think it was going to be so well read, I didn't think anybody would be interested in reading it... the first week... and then I knew I was posting some interesting things. Things that people find appealing or helpful. Maybe they just wanted to look at the yummy food pictures and get the recipes. I already have 17 followers. I gained three followers in a day last week. My blog really has come a long way and I am so excited to see it grow more. My blog has given me a whole new perspective on what I want to become. It helps me sketch out my life, because I can't plan my future... I mean... I can, but it won't always be what I plan it to be. But I know one thing, I always want to be a blogger. When I grow up, move and go to college in hopefully Pensacola, Florida, I want to keep blogging. When I graduate UWF and get my BSN, become a neonatal nurse, I still want to blog. When I get married, I still want to blog. When I have kids, I still want to blog. When my kids get older, I still want to blog! I will be blogging for very long time. It's something I love to do, and it's easy. I have always loved informing people on what I am doing. I have always wanted my name out in the public, as a well known writer. This is my calling. I am a "BLOGGIST" As my 8th grade Teacher, Mr. Fier says. I went back to my old school a few months ago, and I visited Mr. Fier and he said I was a fabulous 'Bloggist'. I didn't know he read my blog! That made me feel awesome. My teachers read my blog! I hope my grammar is correct.... haha. That makes me want to strive and keep blogging. I always wanted my writing published, but I wanted it in book wise. Like I wanted a book that I wrote to be published. Well, I will do that someday. I will. I have made that promise and that goal to myself. I need to achieve that goal. I will. But for the time being, I am going to blog. It's a lot of fun, I meet a lot of new people and I am inspired by the different blogs I read. It's a wonderful community, all the bloggers. I love being a part of it. My dad said something a few weeks ago that made we want to get back into the Google Adsense game. I tried it a year ago, but some screw up technical difficulties came in and It was all kerploooi! Well, my dad said that I should make money with my blog. That I should have the companies I am doing product reviews on, they should pay me for my product reviews. Well, I would love that, but I don't know how all the companies are going to get to me. My dad said that I should become an affiliate of all those companies. I am an Amazon affiliate, but that's it. With Google Adsense, I can be an affiliate of my favorite clothing stores, or my favorite food markets, or any company basically. And when I post their link on my post, and someone clicks on their link while they are on my site, it gets tracked and however many people click on that link from my site, I get money. It's so cool! I have my own URL ID and my site gets tracked for when someone clicks on the company's link. It's hard to explain, and I am trying the darn best I can. For my blog's birthday, I am going to get another Google Adsense account, and I am going to make money off of my blog. I know, it might start out slow. But I am going to try to get to the point where I am making $2,000 a month with my blog. It may take some time, and I am willing to wait to be patient with my blog. But I so want to do that. Also, since I am taking such a heavy load at school, my mom doesn't want me to have a job. This way, I can have a little business with my blog, still baby sit, and still work on school. It is perfect. A perfect way to work, for me. I can do what I love and still keep up with my school work. I love it! My dad had a great idea and it totally inspired me. So, for my blog's birthday, I am getting it Google Adsense.Happy Birthday, Barefoot In Blue Jeans!
