I thought I would take some time to record my Happy List. This is centered around my weekend because it will be the first one alone for me. Alone as in, I am not with my family because I will be with them the majority of next week. I do not need to make that three hour drive anymore than I have to. Here's what I came up with:
1. Get up early and go for a walk outside or on the treadmill.
2. Drink my morning coffee on my porch (before it gets too hot!).
3. Play music softly and read a good book.
4. Take a nap (Yes, Jesus!).
5. Watch one or two movies in a row.
6. Go to a nearby park and enjoy nature.
7. Take snapshots of my surroundings (make the angles as artistic as possible).
8. Buy fresh flowers and display them throughout the apartment.
9. Buy a cheap bottle of wine and have a glass or two.
10. Call a friend and catch up.
11. Draft my new blog plan (I need to do this ASAP).
12. Sit out on the porch at sunset with a few tea light candles and a good book/iPad.
13. Take a candle lit bubble bath.
14. Make a really good meal and slowly soak in the flavors, colors, and textures. Kind of like an "alone time" date. ( I know that sounds lonely, but it really is fantastic!)
