Next was the difficult task of deciding upon the entertainment. Now it was something that I really had to think and plan carefully.
The First thing that came to my mind was choosing the right Music that could go well with the theme so I started selecting hit numbers decade wise starting from the 70’s till the recent ones. I started with mellow numbers and made sure the music only got faster with the night :)Then I asked one of my close friends who happens to be a bollywood freestyle dance expert to arrange for a fun dance lesson for the guests where anyone could follow her steps and dance :) And mind you…It was a hit…everyone had an awesome time :) Next I decided upon a drinking contest. I laid down a bar sort of table and asked my house helper to be the bartender and taught her to make 2 types of drinks from colas. And I kept a prize for the winner who could drink the maximum number of drinks without burping ….he he :)Lastly I had to choose the menu which I thought would be the toughest one but it proved out to be the easiest of them, All thanks to Kitchensof India. I thought, why to bother mom when I could arrange everything on my own. I quickly checked out the range online and placed an order and hired a trainee cook who could prep all the food during the dinner party. So the menu went like this: Welcome Drink: Litchi Juice and Spicy Aam Panna
Starters: Chicken Tikka, Mutton Shammi Kebabs, Afghani soya chap, Cheese n pineapple sticks
Main Course: ChickenDarbari, MurghMethi, DalBukhara , MughlaiPaneer, MirchKa Salan, HyderabadiChicken Biryani and and tandoori butter paranthas.
Dessert:Jodhpuri Moong Dal Halwa and Vanilla Ice cream topped with chocolate syrup
After the yummy scrumptious dinner, It was time to say good bye and that’s when I yet again surprised everyone with a pack of Gourmet Gifts - Halwas 2 Pack as a return gift since it’s our family tradition to not to send any guest empty handed.
I must say that ready to eat food from Kitchens of Indiamade my life easy and got me a lot of compliments for the food too :) From now on I will definitely organize many more parties hassle free :)
