I was never a coffee fan.
When I was a kid, every evening in winter, my mother used to make coffee and we used to sit together and sip from our mugs feeling content with the warmth it provided. Except that there used to be something else in my mug. Green tea. You might laugh at the thought of a 10 year old child drinking “green tea”!
Turns out green tea is beneficial for your health too. We see a revolution these days- people stocking their kitchen cabinets with boxes of a variety of green tea. People have also started consuming less sugar for the sake of health. Came to their senses and in time, I MUST say!
All in all, I like this change. We should be health conscious, weight conscious and beauty conscious. The days have gone when the general population used to think “So what if I get fat? I shouldn’t lose my self- esteem over it!”. Although it’s true that you shouldn’t, but a majority does. And at the end of the day, it’s not about self esteem, it’s about your physical fitness which obesity won’t help in shaping up. So, rouse from your deep slumber and try to regulate your BMI (Body Mass Index) as it will keep you away from a number of diseases and lethal medical conditions. You have to believe me, I’m studying medicine.
I wanted to write about how I used to hate coffee and how I started loving it ever since Dunkin Donuts introduced their Alaska Coffee, but you can see how distracted I can get.
