I have been going back and forth with my path, trying to interpret dreams, talking to the Gods & Goddesses, and doing some serious soul searching. It all leads me back to where I first began...... Heathenry (Asatru).
You may remember my previous "dream" posts about my alleged "affair" with the earth. I've come to realize, thanks to some fabulous NORSE women (Facebook Group "Norse Women"), that I was on the right path the whole time. That Asatru can be "earth based", it's just how you look at it. There are those who "worship" the earth and there are those who "worship" the Norse Gods (Aesir, Vanir) yet still incorporate love for the earth (different than actually worshipping), into their path!
This is freakin fantabulous! After my dreams, I thought I was being pulled towards and "earth worshipping" path when now that I really sit back and examine it, I wasn't!
My heart and soul is still with the Norse. My God is still Thor and his magnificant Mjolnir. I have yet to find my Goddess yet but I'm sure it's coming. With signs of the butterflies over the past month, it's highly possible Freya/Freyja is reaching out to me. With my sexy earth dream, it's possible Nerthrus may have been reaching out for me OR, as one mentioned, maybe Jord (Goddess of the Earth).
Not everyone's path has to have a God(s) and Goddess(es). Maybe only the Gods will call out to me? It's quite possible. All my life, I've related more towards men because I found women so "catty". ;) Or maybe I'm waiting for that Warrior Goddess to call on me. Maybe she's observing my path and waiting to see if I'm worthy?
Whatever it may be, I'm still on the right path. I need to embrace what I am. Embrace what keeps "holding" me. Embrace the Nine Noble Virtues and live accordingly. Embrace myself as an honorable person and follow my path the way I find best.
The women of the Norse Women group and fabulous and very informative! There is a mixture of heathens there. If Asatru is not your calling, maybe Vanatru is or Odinism. If you are interested in a Heathen path, it's a fabulous place to learn.
I've learned a lot. I've learned to not second guess myself as well. Go with your gut. If it doesn't feel right, than it probably isn't. ;)
