I would never have believed that £7.26 would be the running cost of a Stannah stairlift for a WHOLE year, would you? That's the same price as 6 days phone contract or a months worth of Netflix! That seems crazily cheap to me, yet because I'd (luckily) never had to think about it properly before, I'd always assumed that the running costs would be so much higher! Much higher than £7! My lunch for the day can cost double that sometimes! Which just goes to show really.
Tying in with this arthritis awareness post I wrote last week, I think it's important to have an understanding of elderly people or people with such conditions that are suffering problems with their mobility. Have you got an elderly parent or grandparent that could benefit from a stairlift? Or do you know someone else that could greatly benefit? Are they aware of how little the running costs can be?
