Henry at Nine Months
My little boy has been out in the world for as long as he was in my belly, my baby is now nine months. NINE MONTHS. I'm not sure where this year has gone, but I keep trying to reach for that slow motion switch but unfortunately it's out of my reach and time, as always, is just flying by.
Henry's been a busy boy this month, he now has two teeth which explain's why he has been so grumpy. He's had some quite bad day's teething, including some quite high temperatures which did worry me slightly. Darcie never got a temperature with teething so this was something new. He has been particularly grumpy again recently so I'm thinking more are on their way.

Of course, Henry is still moving around at the speed of light. He zooms around crawling now and I really have to keep a very close eye on him. He has also mastered climbing the stairs, much to my dismay! He is now quite confident cruising around the furniture too!
This week Henry learnt to clap! Which I managed to capture of an Instagram video, so head over to my feed to see that. It's quite lovely because now whenever I say "Good boy" he claps to himself. Literally melts my heart every single time.
Weaning is going really well, he is starting to naturally want to drop feeds and I'm rarely breastfeeding him much during the day now. I will do a post all about this next week as it's something a few people have asked me about. It seems it's an area which worries mums when weaning.

Henry is loving anything musical. He likes listening to music and playing with his musical instruments (tambourine, maracas, xylophone), well anything that he can make loud noises with! My morning usually consists of him bashing a maraca against the dining room table whilst Darcie is singing her head off. It's a lovely way to start the day. Honest.  He has also become quite clingy. I'm not sure if it's because of teething, but every time he clocks me, if I've nipped out the room then return or when I get home from work, he will hysterically cry until he's in my arms. I'm not used to this as Darcie was never really a clingy baby. He's always fine though when I leave him, just when I return. It's so strange, although I'm sure quite common.
So, next is 10 months, not long before we'll be celebrating his first birthday. Lordy!
