Himalaya Herbals Clarifying Mud Pack – Combination to Oily Skin

I told in a previous post that last May I went to Hyderabad for training for a month where me and my friend shopped a lot. I found this product in a shopping mall and bought it cuz in that whole month due to high temperature and pollution I damaged my skin a lot. I bought a scrub and this face pack to treat my skin.
What it claims:A mineral rich pack that absorbs excess oil, clears clogged pores and removes black heads and deeply embedded impurities. It firms the skin, helps restore its natural elasticity, improves skin texture and helps minimize wrinkle formation. Fuller’s Earth (Multani Mitti) deep cleanses the skin and has cooling properties. Walnut removes skin impurities, black heads and dead cells. Mineral clay improves circulation, leaving your skin soft and glowing.
Key Ingredients: Fuller’s Earth, Mineral clay, Walnut.
Directions: Apply evenly on cleansed face and neck, avoiding area around the eyes. Allow it to dry for 10-15 minutes. Remove it with a wet sponge and wash the skin with cool water. Use once or twice a week. Do not apply on broken or inflamed skin.
Each grm contains: Exts. Akshota (Juglans Regia) 10mg, Ushira (Vetiveria zizaniodes) 10mg, Pdrs. Gairika 170 mg, Panka 100mg.
Inactives: Methyl paraben IP, Propyl paraben IP.

My Experience: The product is a mud coloured thick paste comes in a plastic tube with a green coloured flip cap. Packaging is quite good and only the required amount of the product comes out. It also smell quite decentbut a little strong. I don’t have sensitive nose lol... The product says its for combination to oily skin and mine is a combination one. When I used it for first time, then I realized that few areas of my skin are dry. Oh my god!!! Those areas burnt like anything. I mean it didn’t burn but I couldn’t tolerate it. My skin pores are quite small and may be that’s why it always takes time for a pack to dry; more than 45 minutes. My T zone dried but the cheeks were still wet. It took time to dry and then I washed it by massaging it for few minutes. Well the product makes your skin fresh but can’t say about cleaning, circulating etc.
Pros:-   Affordable-   Available in both market and online-   Freshens the skin-   Good for oily skin. Absorbs oil perfectly.-   Travel friendly
Cons:-   Not at all recommended for dry skin and for combination skin to some extent.-   How can it improve circulation? May be while massaging to clean the product lol...-   Not sure of skin texture improvement.
Rate: 3.5/5 Good for oily skin while promises to do what it can’t actually.
Will I recommend to others? Yes to oily skins and strictly no to dry skins and depends on oilyness forcombination skins.- Gayatri
