Had I looked back I would have probably seen the tears of gratitude that the family comprising of the mother and four daughters shed when they opened the anonymous briefcase in front of their door.

But I couldn’t bear to look back. I felt too guilty about what I had done.

After all, it was only 10 days back that I had killed the father in a hit and run incident on the highway. I couldn’t blame anybody else for the fact that I had decided to drive despite the fact that I was completely drunk out of my senses.
