Did you have a great holiday weekend? I sure did. Though there are a few aspects of the weekend I can’t seem to understand, it was, all in all, a great weekend.
Thursday started with some fun at my moms house. Trying to make my grandma’s Norwegian pancakes turned out to be a disaster, which is odd since they have come out every other time we’ve made them. Oh well, we had regular pancakes instead. Then we watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving day Parade. When I watch parades I always get transported back in time to my high school days when we, a marching show band, played holiday parades in between competitions. What is a show band you ask…Glee for high school marching bands in California. Then came the dog show. That is always a fun thing to watch. Congrats to Best in Show winner Charlie the Skye Terrier, he was adorable.
Thanksgiving dinner was really good. Rather than spending all day cooking a meal that takes 10 minutes to eat, and since it was just 3 of us, we decided to let the casino do the cooking. The line was long but it moved fast. I took these while waiting.
They always do awesome holiday decorations.
Friday, even though I had to work, was just a quiet day for me. Sometimes a girl just needs to take a day and keep the socializing to a minimum and just be. There is nothing wrong with doing that. It has nothing to do with anyone or anything other than the person who just needs to sit back and “Be”. I did get a few blog posts done for my book blog. That was a fun thing to do.
Saturday I did some shopping :) Got a few Christmas decorations. Hug out :) did basically a whole lot of nothing really since I had woken up with a migraine. I just keep a low key and chilled.
That brings us to this Sunday morning…..
