It's rained before, it's rained afterwards... but every single couple I've photographed exchanging their vows in the great outdoors has been lucky enough to be able to follow through with that dream.
So, if you want to get married in the open air, then don't let the thought of the British weather put you off, because it does seem that fortune tends to smile upon outdoor wedding ceremonies! Of course, in this country you can't actually have a civil marriage ceremony completely 'outside' as yet - there has to be a roofed structure under which certain parts of the ceremony takes place. That's why wedding venues such a Hornsbury Mill in Somerset are extremely popular for outdoor weddings, as they have a beautiful lakeside gazebo under which you can exchange your vows.
So let's take a look at some of the images from the wedding ceremony on this particular Hornsbury Mill wedding day, where the guests gathered in front of the lakeside gazebo to see two of their loved ones betroth themselves to each other. The couple had actually travelled all the way from Las Vegas to hold their wedding in Somerset, and as you can see, love was most definitely in the air that day!
