ENG. Nowadays all eyes are on Brazil! This is not only due to its carnival, its lovely, beautiful and fun people, its amazing soccer/football players, its incredible nature and food, or the fact that they are hosting the next World Cup and Olympics!
Nowadays people are looking at Brazil because it is part of the Big four, the BRIC -- the new, emerging global powers. Brazil's booming economy is attracting investors, people looking for new opportunities and of course international travelers! In September I had the chance to have a taste São Paulo's booming development. And let's be honest, this city has nothing to envy from NY and London. This city can be very cosmopolitan; modern an luxurious as the cities I mentioned before, but even better because it has a Latin flavor that makes it even more attractive! So if you have some extra money to indulge and you are planning to go to São Paulo, how about staying in the best hotel in town? Fasano!
The story:
I went to this hotel with two of my best friends for a wedding in São Paulo. Since we were going for just a long weekend and we all were taking crazy flights from different parts of the world such as London, Mexico and Italy we decided to stay in the best hotel in town where we could be pampered to the max. The result? The best hotel I have been so far, ever!
Hotel: Fasano
You cannot go more luxury than with this hotel in São Paulo. Rated as the best hotels of South America by the readers of CondeNast Traveller Magazine . But don’t get confused, the place is luxurious but not intimidating in my opinion.
The hotel is situated in Jardins, the most fashionable neighborhood of the city. The hotel was designed by Isay Weinfeld and Marico Kogan. The Fasano recreates a 1930’s and 40’s elegant style. The architecture reminisces the past but at the same time is contemporary; again Juana’s favorite combination, no wonder she loved, loved the hotel. The hotel has an exquisite Italian restaurant as well as an amazing bar, Baretto, where on Friday there is always live Jazz music from national and international renowned artists. The spa is just amazing, perfect for after partying all night at a wedding. It is located on a rooftop with a stunning view; it has a pool, sauna, Turkish bath, fitness center and complementary massages.
What I loved about the place:
The Smell: What impressed me the most was the smell of burned wood coming from the chimney in the lobby, it just made you feel like home, very comfy.
The furniture: It is retro and conformable, in the different shades of brown resembling wood colors, and the fact that it is decorated with antiques handpicked by the owner, made it even more amazing. Also, the rooms are so intimate they feels like small apartments.
The service: It is fantastic, they go way out of their way to make you feel at home and to make you have the best experience in São Paulo.
