As soon as I realized it, I was delighted. I have been doing a lot more than usual with visual art ever since the dive headfirst into art made with books. It has been coming slowly and surely, and now my love affair with art from books revolving around women artists and writers or women in general - sort of pretty social commentary at times - has possessed me.
That and functional art have my attention right now and I imagine will hold my attention through November. I am going to work on art daily, though I can't promise a
Art Every Day Month Goodies: Here I am, attempting to organize some of my materials. This should, perhaps, be one of my artful challenges this month! finished product. My intent is to post the day after I create something. Today, for example, is Day 1 and I am basically giving y'all a brief intro and some "pre-behind the scenes" thoughts.
Tomorrow's blog post (November 2) will show what I did on November 1, etc.
Once we get going, that will all start somersaulting overthe dates. On instagram it will hardly be noticeable.
I am thrilled to be on instagram this year and look forward to sharing on there.
Right now, though, I am buried in paper, ephemera, ideas and repurposing whatever I find at recent estate sales or thrift stores.

Thank you, as always, Leah Piken Kolidas at Creative Every Day. There is no way I would be where I am as a visual artist without art every day month. When I first started whatever year that was, I felt like I was cheating somehow with my poetry and theater posts.
Now, I feel like I fit right in with this checkered amalgam artist life of myself.
