As you build your blog brand, and business, a well designed business card keeps your offline identity consistent with your online persona. The right business card will convey who you are in just a few seconds; while a quality business card will represent your blog as a serious business, and the card design will showcase your ability to keep your branding consistent.
For those of you that work with a graphic designer this is fairly easy to do.  But, for the rest of us, we can personalize pre-designed business card templates.  Companies like Minted.com have more than one hundred card designs available for every design taste and business.
But, how do you pick a card that conveys your business while keeping consistent with your branding?

It isn't hard if you use the same five steps that I took to find my pre-designed business card template that best matched my blog brand:
  1. Pick a design element from your blog, ideally your header logo, that you want to incorporate in your business card.  Find a card that has the same or a similar element, and feel of your blog.
  2. Choose a font that is similar in color and style as your blog copy for your business card contact information.
  3. Choose a font that is similar in color and style as your blog header for your name (or blog name).
  4. Pick a second design element from your blog that you want to incorporate on a smaller scale in your business card, or on the backside of your business card.

After your narrow down your business card selections to one design, layout your information and print a screen to "match" the card design, and color, with your blog."

Now that I have narrowed down my Minted.com business card this this design (Stem Striate), I am still a little up-in-the-air on the color I should pick.
