How To Increase Your Chances Of A Fast Home Sale   With a new year already upon us, many people are already thinking of fresh starts and new beginnings. Optimism fills the air and people are considering what they want to achieve and goals they wish to accomplish.
For some it’s a new career, for others a new home. Should you find you fall in to the latter category then you may wish to find your new home and move as soon as possible whilst the enthusiasm and energy to do so is still at its peak. If this is the case for you, then the mantra of ‘sell home fast ’ before moving, is probably at the forefront of your thoughts.
There are several steps you can take to make your home more appealing to any potential buyers and increase the value, here’s 5 examples that may prove beneficial:
Step out of your house, and walk in trying to imagine how a stranger might view it. Those sentimental touches you love, and nostalgic pictures of family life including pictures painted by the kids may seem charming and warming to you but not everyone will view them this way. Some people don’t even like kids!
Declutter   It seems obvious but you’d be amazed at how clutter your tidy spotless home may seem to a potential buyer whilst viewing and that can be a big turn off. Here’s an example- The shoes in the rack by the door may look tidy to you, but if there were no rack or shoes there wouldn’t it give a better first impression to people entering your house through your hallway? After all you can always get it back out in your spanky new home!
Let light in!   The lighter and brighter the feel and look, the airier and larger the home will feel. So, clean those windows open those blinds and replace dull bulbs. You’ll be amazed at how much brighter your home will feel.
Don’t be afraid to put items in to storage.   Many people have large items of sentimental value that may simple not be to everyone’s tastes. From large items of furniture, to large family portraits or the baby grand piano currently being used as a toy/book/laundry depository, we can’t help but go through life acquiring such things. Such items can really give a negative impression of clutter and shabbiness. Solution put them in storage, free up space, open up your home. Many storage companies have very good value monthly rates available and they’ll be safely tucked away ready for your new home.
Clean up   Yep it’s that simple. Clean your house. Now I’m not saying you wallow in your own filth or rats would need stilts to walk round on, but a clean, fresh smelling house can really tip the balance in your favour. It doesn’t have to be clinically clean, but if it would pass a white glove inspection and smells fresh, you’re doing the right thing!   Do you have any tips to help make a home for sale more appealing to potential buyers?
