I've gotten about 5 emails in the past two weeks asking how I get that Passionfruit Ad at the bottom of every post. There are actually a few ways to do it, but I've discovered after trial and error that one way is best.
I decided since it was such a popular question that a lot of bloggers would probably benefit from a tutorial on how to install these "In-Post Ads" (as most bloggers call them).
1// First things first, you'll need to set up an In Post Ad size in Passionfruit. Mine is 800x100 and I have a two column blog. When I had a three column blog, the dimensions were 600x100. Just make sure that the Ad size will fit inside your main body column (your post) width.
2// Next, in Passionfruit, head to the menu at the top and click on "Site Setup". In the drop down menu, select "Install Your Ads". Copy the HTML code for your In-Post Ad only.
3// Head to your Blogger dashboard. On the lefthand side of the screen, click on "Settings" and then "Post and Comments".
4// At the top you will see the header for "Posts". The second item down will be "Post Template". Paste your In Post HTML code there.
5// Right before the start of the code, place <center>. After the end of the Passionfruit code, place </center>.
6// If you want to add any words or sentences before the Ad, you can do that after the <center> , but before the start of the Passionfruit code. For example, say you want the words: "Check out my amazing sponsor:" to show up above the Ad. Your code would look like this:
<center> Check out my amazing sponsor: <br> then your Passionfruit code </center>
Make sure you put that <br> tag in there, as it acts like hitting "enter" or "return" so your Ad will show up below the text.
7// Hit "Save Settings" at the top and you are all set! Now every time you start a new post, your Ad will appear automatically at the bottom.
This is the BEST way to do this. It allows you to go in and change the text above the Ad whenever you want and also lets you delete the Ad from certain posts if you need to. If you embed the Ad in your actual HTML, the Ad will show up no matter what and you won't be able to edit it every time you post if need be.
