Hunter Boots Keep Feet Dry During the Christmas Storms

Hunter MAIN marthafiedOnly one more week until Christmas and it’s not looking good weather-wise here in London. My Accuweather app tells me that on Christmas Eve and Day it will be raining. Not snowing which would be far more glamorous. But raining which will be just cold and miserable. Christmas is the one time of the year when I always wish that there would be snow – even in London. Even though it’s always full-blown chaos after the first snowflake hits the ground without melting. It seems that I don’t have to worry about that this year. It will be stormy and grey, but I am prepared for it. My new Hunter Boots are here just in time for the Christmas storms.

Wellies 2 marthafiedMy last wellies gave up a several months ago and I have been welly-less and wet toesied ever since. Now finally I have gotten my act together and ordered a pair of Hunter Boots. No more dripping wet socks after wandering in the park for hours with Diego. Yes, that always happens when we hit Hyde Park early in the morning as there is mist on the grass and after just less than ten steps my sneakers are thoroughly wet. I hate nothing more than I hate wet toes. Especially if you then have to sit at work for the next 8 hours. Been there – done that – don’t wanna do that again!

Walking marthafiedI love my new Hunter Boots. I went the less popular route and chose short ones. Shock / horror! The long ones look so cool, but when will I be in water that will reach higher than my calves? Hopefully never, I tell you, as my swimming is a bit dodgy. Hunter Boots have a huge selection of styles and colors. So much so that making a decision is really hard. Do I go pink, yellow, purple, green or maybe black? Original or fashion ones? It’s like ordering at In & Out – everything looks soooo good that you would want all of them, but you just cannot.

Wellies 8 marthafiedAfter a long and hard deliberation jury-style and using my ‘phone a friend’ option (twice) I chose the Original Gloss Short for the style. Girl’s gotta have as much gloss as possible, right? For the color I chose Moss Green. I went for a more understated color as sometimes that’s easier to pair with clothing. And let’s face it – Moss Green looks pretty good with blue jeans.

Wellies marthafiedNow I have made a decision and should just order the Hunter Boots. But do I do that? Absolutely not! It’s time to look at the welly socks. Hunter Welly Socks are warm fleece socks made to accessorize your Hunter Boots with and keep your toesies toasty. Oh, boy – another decision to make. Again I am feeling like a kid at the candy aisle. How can I make a decision when I want them all again!?
As I went for the understated color for the actual wellies, I am going all glam on the socks. Polar white faux fur! With these I could fit into Santa’s crew or be singing ‘From Russia with Love’ while Bond – James Bond – aka Daniel Graig steps out of the river a la Mr. Darcy style. Too much? Maybe, but faux fur it is!

Wellies 9 marthafiedI have worn my new Hunter Boots – with and without the welly socks – several times now and they are comfortable to walk with – even for several hours. Looking back I don’t understand how I survived without them for so long… And – even Diego approves!
