I Am Enough – An Affirmation

I am Enough – An Affirmation

During the past week, I’ve felt in desperate need for inspiration with my wounds turning into allergic messes. I also developed a rash on my face – and am glad to say it is clearing up. I can’t believe that the accident happened last Monday! Even as I was grateful for the gift of life things got progressively worse and I’ve been feeling miserable on and off.

I am deeply grateful to my friends, who soothed me with loving words of encouragement. While I am pretty good at pep-talk, this time I was less than 100%.  After I wrote The Power of Positive Thinking I developed a fever but wasn’t alarmed as wounds can do that.  But the messy right arm seems to be taking forever. Time is relative while recuperating – and I have to say I am a lousy patient. No patience. Oh well. I keep saying that this too shall pass. I just wish I didn’t feel so listless. I hate that I can’t move around easily and can’t use my right arm the way I want. I seem to be running on will-power most of the time.

I am determined to feel better. I looked for affirmations – love them you know.  And guess what? Like an answer I came across this beautiful poem today over at Lynette Patterson’s blog. I requested her permission to share it with you here and she instantly agreed!

The poem – I like to think of it as a wonderful affirmation – is from the book “TThe One Minute Millionaire: The Enlightened Way to Wealth“, written by Mark Victor Hansen and Robert G. Allen.

I Am Enough

Today, I am enough.

I am smart enough.

Wise enough.

Clever enough.

Resourceful enough.

Able enough.

Confident enough.

I am connected to enough people to accomplish my heart’s desire.

I have enough ideas to pull off magic and miracles.

Enough is all I need.

Enough is what I have.

I have more than enough.

As I do all that I can do, I’m able to do more and more.

I am excited to be alive. I rejoice and re-choice every day to make my life better.

I am happy, healthy, prosperous, successful, rich, loving, loved and beloved.

I am comfortable with myself, so I am comfortable with all others.

I confidently greet each day with a smile on my face and love in my heart.

Everyone who meets me is warmed by the radiance of my attitude.

I work on my attitude continuously. I read positive, inspiring and uplifting books.

I associate with friendly, caring, nurturing people who are involved doing important things.

The people with whom I associate want more for me than I want for myself.

The projects with which I am involved WOW my soul.

I am passionately on-purpose to do good, be good and help others do the same.

I am enough. I have enough. I do enough.

Don’t you love it? I’ve printed it to put up where I can see it often and feel good.

I also want to share something cute with you. Vidur was busy with some school craft work. It seemed like whenever I opened my eyes as I went through the fever, I would see his smiling face looking at me – his hands busy with something colorful. Here’s what he made:

A horse. A stuffed toy. No questions, please, about why its mane and tail are pink. Looks great to me.

Paper art:  I thought it looked quite pretty. Looked grand on the wall. He has promised to make one for me.

I am glad he took photos before he submitted them at school. When I asked if I could use them in a blog post, he rolled his eyes.

Love, Vidya
