I started my day today like I often do: writing my morning pages. Today I was settled into questions left over from yesterday. I spent the most time dealing with fear, an arch nemesis of many. I have regular wrestling matches with fear and this session was one of my most productive yet.

I asked myself, “What is frightening me right now?” and “What is it about this particular fear that interferes with me visualizing and reaching my goals?”

Instantly, my pen moved across my notebook page, giving birth to several a-ha’s which I can now use to transform those fears into inspiration.

Now that’s valuable insight thanks to literary granny, Anne Frank.

I know, she never had children so how could she be a Granny?

Her words continue to have life. They gave me life today and helped me dismantle my fear.

Let’s start our prompts with those same questions I asked.

Questions:

What is frightening you right now?

What is it about this particular fear that interferes with me visualizing and reaching my goals?

What do you routinely “shake off” when you write?

How does writing make you feel more courageous? Bonus: Building on that realization, what actions will you take as a result?

What areas of your life would benefit from you choosing to write in order to have your courage be reborn?
