I’m headed to the forest tomorrow. That’s right….to camp!!! This means that I will be with limited technology….minimal computer & cell phone access! My songs of the day may be on hold for a while, so please forgive me, blog readers, if I skip some days!
Writing is like a drug. The more I do it, the more I need it. When I miss days, I really feel the withdrawal. Cell phone withdrawal is even worse! Gosh–I really am addicted to technology, and it’s going to be so hard to decompress.
This is the beauty of camp. It forces you into leaving your life behind and to be in the moment. I think most of us today forget of that notion. Boy…what have we all become in the year 2013?
My song of the day is old school rap. LL Cool J’s “I Can’t Live Without My Radio” is technology withdrawal from 30 years ago. Who would have ever have thought back then that today we’d have cell phones with computer access, lap tops, iPads, iPods, etc, etc, etc. Click HERE to listen to a song when life was so much more simple and please wish me luck to a week with limited access to all that I have learned is normal!
