I don’t have a title for my post today because I am not sure which direction this is going to take me. I want to provide some comfort for my colleagues, but I wrote a post about grief just a little bit ago. Instead, I will simply say that I have absolutely no answers. I wish I could tell you why hard-working folks live their whole lives taking care of others and never get to retire. Why people who are the most wonderful, divine couples I know have problems conceiving. Why friends who live extraordinary lives go through Hell and back. Why families argue, fight, and sometimes divorce. Why some of the nicest people I know have the worst luck imaginable.
I do have these tips for you though:
The race is long, and in the end, it is only with yourself. If you find yourself nodding and agreeing with these sayings, I hope it gives you some small comfort to know that we are all in this thing called life together. As I told my friend a few weeks ago, I believe in you.
“It is a curious thought, but it is only when you see people looking ridiculous that you realize just how much you love them.” ~Agatha Christie
