This week I had a lovely surprise when I found out that I had won a competition run by Sleek Make Up on Facebook! Last week they ran a Valentine’s Day competition where ten people could win one of their lipsticks in Russian Roulette, all you had to do was leave a comment telling them what Valentine’s Day meant to you.
Now if you’ve been reading my blog for the last week or so you will know how I feel about this particular day. So me being my usual sarcastic, slightly narky self answered with the following: “Valentines day means to me…eating my weight in chocolate, surrounded by cats.” (Just in case you’re wondering, one of these two things actually did happen. I don’t own any cats.)
I then forgot all about it until Tuesday when I was browsing though the Sleek Facebook page and out of the corner of my eye saw my name on a post. I had won!! I literally never win anything. The last thing I won was a troll doll aged seven from a competition in Twinkle magazine. I’m over the moon to have won, and as a make up addict I am so chuffed with my new lipstick! It arrived this morning with a lovely little note and I couldn’t be happier.
Moral of the story – always enter competitions because you just might win!
I’ll do a review after the weekend when I’ll give the lippie a proper test.
