I'm Alive and Feeling Grateful!

Today is a solid rock kind of day. I know it’s Monday, and Monday’s are usually lame, because you want to be sleeping in and then lounging at the pool. Actually the more I type the less I want it to be Monday! ;)
Anyway today I am feeling super grateful. Last week, I was having some health issues. I wasn’t able to get out of bed to even shower for about 4 days (gross I know), but I couldn’t stand up and walk around without feeling like or actually vomitting. I have something called positional vertigo, and it was extremely horrible. Today is the first day in over a week, that I have been able to drive. So I wanted to compose a small list of the things that I feel grateful for this week. It’s definitely true that you need bad days, to remember why the good days are good right?
  1. I am able to work. I was going crazy sitting at home, and I feel guilty that I am not “working” for the salary I get paid. Plus how awesome is it that my work allowed me to work from home for a solid week, while I wasn’t able to drive. I am one lucky girl.
2. Speaking of driving. I can finally get in Linus and drive, I felt so crippled not being able to go to the store for groceries or for a bone to entertain Shia, while I lay there being an awful puppy mom. Linus sat here for an entire week, not moving at all. Poor baby.
3. I am grateful for all my blogsters. I really love all the comments I receive. Not only on the sympathy poor me, I’m sick posts, but on all of them. I love all the friendships that I have been able to build through a similar passion! It’s awesome.
4.Some Summer! Yesterday I laid at the pool in our town homes and it was glorious. So glorious. I am so grateful that I am able to walk 50 feet and be at a beautifully maintained pool. There is a work out room and such too, but I don’t use those! ;) I love this pool!
5. Valium, thank you. Thank you for letting me sleep this past week. If I was born in an age without medicine, I would die. I would be one of the weak ones that couldn’t even battle the stomach flu on my own or the common cold.
6. Networking. I love social networking, I am so glad that I am able to talk to any of my friends/ family, and see what they are doing at the touch of a button. Also if it weren’t for social networking, I would have nothing to talk to all my cousins about at reunions!
7. Jared. I promise he’s not really 7th in things I am grateful for. I just didn’t want to start with the obvious. He is the most wonderful husband. Last week he was so considerate that I didn’t feel well. He brought me home food that I could eat, and drove me around to get diagnosed. He also emailed me all day during the day to help from keeping me go stir crazy. It’s not his favorite thing to do, because he likes to be 110% focused at work, but he knew I needed it. I am so grateful for him.
8. My home and neighborhood. I love where I live. There isn’t one day that I wake up and don’t take in my insanely beautiful view. I am addicted to the mountains in Utah. When I travel that is one thing that I certainly miss a lot. Our outdoors is gorgeous here.
I thought this was a good way to start the week, being thankful. Letting the good Karma come and bit  me! Put good vibes out there people. If you want to do a similar list, I’d love to read it. Link up or leave it in the comments!
