When you and I were just friends,
And we could lean in,
Without expectations.
You and me now,
It’s so messed up,
We don’t talk anymore,
I have so many unmet hopes.
And I know not whom to blame,
Or what to do,
So that things would change,
Back to normal or simple or anything at all.
I miss those simple days,
But more than anything, I miss You and Me.
