Finally ..internet...!!!! It's been over 36 hours since we've been entirely cut out from the world. Two nights ago I've had one of the most shocking experiences I can remember....we were having dinner in our living room, when a most violent thunder storm started...out of nowhere and in no less than a minute an incredible wind swept away half of our roof top, breaking two windows with the strange intensity of an implosion... and leaving our second floor half exposed.
While we were desperately fighting with the rivers of water that invaded our home, with blankets, pillows and cushions, trying to protect the valuables, we were observing with shock how our roof had been blown away on our neighbors' lawn, at about 500 meters away. When it finally stopped and we acknowledged the damage, I felt sick...I still am sick every time I go upstairs and see my favorite place looking like a grotesque exhibition of weird contemporary art. My boyfriend thinks we've been hit by a thunder, but we saw no traces of burned matter, so we're still investigating. Yesterday we managed to fix the roof, today we changed the windows, but the second floor needs an entirely new ...ceiling. I gotta say, this entire event shocked me really hard, but staying so long without communications sucked almost as much. And this whole affair made me realize what a serious addiction I have when it comes to my connection with the world. Anyway I wish to apologize for my absence, it was motivated....
