I Won i Won....

I just had to say that I WON! hehehe....So Friday night, I went on a very rare night out sans toddler and husband. I went to the W.O.M.B.A.T (don't ask!) Christmas in July party at Black Toms proudly sponsored by the mothership (Digital Parents) and Bubbler Deals. I loved my Gift Box.

Goodie Box!

Truth be told, I was a little scared coming into one because I don't really know how to network but since working in my new firm, I learnt a thing or two and with a little self confident, I went to the party with one thing in mind. To meet new people and to put a face to a twitter handle. :D

The night started out really well. I met Rhonda (Silly Mummy) and Yvette (dtlilsquirts) for the first time. I felt like I know these ladies already from talking to them so much Twitter. We carried along like we have been friends for a very long time.

I laughed a lot that night too. Jules (The Bumpiest Path) was the main reason for it. I laughed at her and with her. She is such a HOOT! She shared something with us that night and I still think that she is brave and CRAZY at the same time. She will be doing TOUGH MUDDER next year. (WHAT?) I told her over and over again that grown men have cried doing this and she is determined. That woman is made of steel.

The highlight of the night, I WON THE DOOR PRIZE! I never win anything. EVER! Nothing big like this but WOW. I was squealing (ok screaming) like a little girl when I saw that I had the secret message! I nearly didn't win it though because earlier on that night, I took my name tag out to write my twitter handle below my name so that the other bloggers/twitters will know who I was, and I saw this extra bit of paper behind the name tag, I almost nearly threw it away. Glad I didn't though. Once again Thank You Bubbler Deals for the lovely prize.

So photos! These are some that I manage to take on the night...

And these were from the W.O.M.B.A.T Facebook page....

Quite happy after winning the door prize!

The night ended on a high note. I was told by Ms G (Parental Parody) and Colin (AssociateWoman) to make it to events as I am considered one of the first few that came to the very first event. HAHAHA..... I will. I will. It was a really nice night and I really enjoy meeting everyone. My apologies for not talking to everyone though. I am still learning how to approach people and just start talking. In the next meet up I think that would be my goal.
