I Would Have Rocked That Fort So Hard…

Back when I was a kid…back when I was a girly tomboy princess…like long long ago…we had forts. We had lots of forts, in the woods behind our house. We had everything a kid could need to live for at least the afternoon by ourselves. We nearly had a town by the time we were done.

We  were always looking for somewhere cool to hide out…under the stairs in our house was cool. Except the spiders were big. Like really big, at least in the bush you mostly didn’t run into wolf spiders.

But this shed that Bruce has built for us in the  back, reminded me tonight, how happy I was as a kid…how free we were to just be goofy and carefree, kids who liked to dream about growing up and having a place all our own, that we could decorate however we wanted, oh and how we dreamed about the day when we could eat 18 cookies for dinner instead of stew…

Our attic in The Shed…made me remember that, and smile…

The only thing I can see going wrong, is the wolf spiders that I now know live in the wood underneath my new room…

Maybe I will leave this one for the grand kids that we will eventually have. It just sounds warmer for me that way, and like something that a kid needs to do….

I will just sit on the porch and take pictures instead. Like these…

The hummers are home, spring is definitely here…

The Daffodils are in full bloom…

The Cupolas are nearly done…

The spiders need to do some spring cleaning…

Just like us tomorrow, yard work…and possibly a burn around on the mower. We are starting to lose the dogs when they go out to pee…

Happy Saturday darlings xox
