Ideas For A Last Minute Valentines Celebration
With the rise in popularity of social media and, in particular, Instagram you could argue that it would be nigh on impossible to forget about Valentines Day and as the years go by, it feels as though more and more people are going out of their way to make a huge effort with extravagant brunches and piles of gifts not only for their other halves - but for their children too.
Now don't get me wrong, I love any excuse for a celebration - always have, always will! But now that I have a child with a February 12th birthday, I have to admit...Valentines Day celebrations have fallen waaaay down on my agenda!
I'm just too preoccupied with birthday planning to put much effort in to it these days!
However, I did manage to pull together a cute little Valentines brunch on a £10 budget and I thought I'd share it today for anyone else who is in need of a little last minute celebration!
I called in to our local Home Bargains and managed to pick up these cute little jars and bottles as well as a box of fake rose petals all for under £1 each. I also picked up a tube of mini love hearts for £1 too.

Then I grabbed a punnet of strawberries (£2) and a carton of strawberry milk (£1) from the Co-Op, and served them up alongside some lovely heart shaped Waffles which I'd picked up from Ikea on our last visit for around £2.
To add a little extra Valentines cuteness, I printed out some gorgeous themed food & drink labels from the very helpful Free Valentines Day Printables page from Wayfair and added them to my new jars and bottles.
