Oh yes, I am definitely in love with Peter Jackson's recent masterpiece "The Hobbit - an unexpected journey". I've been waiting for this movie for over a year, somehow anticipating the grandeur of Tolkien's adaptation. I have the feeling that Peter Jackson understands our need of fantasy and he always manages to put it on the screen so skillfully and so believably. 
The fist part of the film is a little bit, just a little bit too monotonous, with a few portions of dialog that seem out of place, even useless. If you are a Lord of the Rings fan, you'll be surprised to discover that The Hobbit has another pace, maybe it lacks a bit when it comes to the versatility of the characters. But the 3D special effects do take your breath away to the point where you grab hold of the armchair. I was surely enchanted by my favorite elf in the world, Galadriel, whom the amazing Cate Blanchet managed to embody with such a surreal grace. Don't waste your time, the hobbit Bilbo Baggins is waiting !
