In the Heat of the night 2012 collection.
My floor, as i speak.
As you know, I have started to design a new collection, although I am not sure that it will be done by the next round of Fashion weeks, as I am only at the research stage of the process.
My collection which i will call “in the heat of the night” will be a series of evening dresses; draped and tailored on the stand using an array of contrasting fabric & textures. Currently im looking at Klimpt paintings and Arabic styling with high fashion make-up acting as a main source of inspiration.
Next on my list of “to do” items, is to get out and take my own inspiration photos, though i have the sneaking suspicion that I will be harking back to some of the artwork that i seen at the Women In Art exhibition at the George Pompidou centre last year.
Ive been inspired to get up from my desk and get some research done, after looking through the “Fashion designers Sketchbooks” book that i bought last week.
