Indiana "Indie" Jones!

There was a few people who guessed our secret correctly. If you didn't read that post it is HERE. As you may have already seen all over twitter and instagram. We added a new puppy to our family! Shia really wanted a baby brother. She begged me practically every night. She really did seem like she wanted a pal. She hangs with Jared and I, but when she is around other dogs she is much more happy and giddy. If a dog can get giddy. I have been wanting a second dog forever. When our roommate moved out and took his pup. That's when I thought we actually needed another pup in the house! That was in October. I have been diligently looking since then. We thought about a rescue, but I knew that Shia would do a lot better adjusting with a puppy rather than with an older dog. She tends to be dominant and gets very territorial and possessive over me EXCEPT with puppies. We knew that a puppy would be a better fit in our family.

Last Monday I found our pup online. I emailed back and forth with the breeder and we agreed on a price and a location.
We had to wait till Friday night to drive to Idaho and purchased our baby.(We got Shia from Idaho too) He is a french bulldog mixed with an english bulldog. He looks so English though. I think he's going to looks like a miniature English Bulldog. He was born on December 10th and is about a month and a half old. The breeder said he's going to be about 35 pounds when he's full grown. Much smaller than Shia, at a whopping 70 pounds! My big girl.. Anyway his mom is a blue french bulldog and his dad is a brindle english. So our little baby is a blue brindle. His coloring is so handsome and his eyes will melt your heart! They are bright blue!

We decided to name him Indie after Indiana Jones. We thought about the name Cruz but we decided that Indie was much more fitting, because the little dude is so incredibly curious, always investigating the house and being a little champ. We love him more than I can explain. He fits in so perfectly!
Jared was very strict with Shia and her training. With Indie he is such a softie! It's actually really adorable to watch the two of them together. He lets Indie have toys on the bed, he blames his accidents on himself, he washed indie the second we brought him home, and at our super bowl party he kept stealing him and taking him into our room. He'd shut the door and was telling me that Indie needed rest from all the excitement. It was way too cute.

How many of you have second pets? Was it a hard adjustment?
