It’s Monday again, but its ok because I had a great weekend with my family!
Saturday, I went home to watch my youngest sister’s (Lily) last home lacrosse game, help her get ready for prom and see my mom for Mother’s Day! It was a jammed packed day, but very fun and it was great to be a part of all the festivities.
I have been lazy lately and my work out routine has suffered. So, I was determined to get some exercise in because I knew it would be a day full of eating. I decided to do a disk from the Insanity DVD series. I bought this workout series a couple years ago and it has been getting dusty on my shelf.
After my quick workout I ate a quick breakfast and rushed to get out the door.
We arrived just in time for Lily’s lacrosse game. Her team honored the seniors before the game by saying very thoughtful things about each player and giving them flowers.
Lily was looking all bada** with her eye black all over her face, and it worked – they won! After the game, pictures were taken, cupcakes were eaten and then the mad rush to get pretty for prom!
The support team!!
Lily got dressed and dolled up with a couple of her friends. They all looked beautiful!!
Lily and her date looked amazing together!

Driving off in the limo to prom!
After Lily was safely off to prom, the rest of us headed over to my house for an early Mother’s Day BBQ dinner. Both my grandmothers were in attendance, my aunt, and my mom! It was great to all be together and share a great meal!
My grandparents were relieved I was their driver because they got to relax and enjoy the evening without worrying about having to stay over or driving in the dark. We stayed late watching Game 7 of the Rangers – Capitals hockey game and then we hit the road back to Boston. 2 hours later I was home safe and cozy in bed.
Sunday I relaxed, cleaned the house and celebrated Mother’s Day with Vinnie’s family. I didn’t work out again…. I am in a serious slump. I need to get back into my morning work outs because I can never seem to exercise in the afternoon.
How was your Mother’s Day?
Do you remember your prom? Gosh, mine seems so long ago!
