Inspiration: Pink & White Wedding Decor in a Marquee Draped Dorset Village Hall

Are you having your wedding reception in a village hall? Then take a whole heap of inspiration from this truly fabulous transformation of Durweston Village Hall in Dorset for a wedding celebration - proving without doubt that a showstopping look can be created anywhere you choose!

Durweston is an idyllic rural village in Dorset, on the outskirts of Blandford Forum, boasting glorious views across the Blackmore Vale. It was this bride's wish to turn the village hall into something equally impressive as the view outside for her wedding day - and I'm pretty confident that they pulled it off!

The village hall itself is a light, bright and airy building and attractive in its own right, with white walls and exposed wooden beams. To get a real fairytale marquee feel, the hall was draped and then strung with fairy lights, and additional pink accent lighting used throughout the building. Lace ties were used to dress the chairs, and additional touches included butterfly motifs, birdcage centrepieces and of course, plenty of pink!

Last but certainly not least, the wedding cake took pride of place on the stage... and what a WOW cake it was! I had to include a shot of the bride's face when she saw the cake in place for the first time... it was almost too good to eat! You'll also notice that the wedding cake had a VW motif running around the bottom... this echoed the wedding transport for the wedding day.

So enough with describing how awesome the wedding decor looked - take a look yourself at this fabulous themed village hall wedding reception!
