(So even though this post is actually being published Tuesday, let's pretend like it was published on Monday for the sake of my OCD...okay? Okay.)
Hello wonderful followers! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and your holiday week is off to a great start. I'm quite excited about this week because it's only a two day work week for me and then I get a whole five days off! I'll be honest...I can hardly contain my excitement.
This weekend, was a bit crazy. In case you didn't hear, there was a crazyyyy storm that ripped up the East coast (and possibly in other areas of the country? I'm not really sure) this weekend. It rained like nobody's business, and there was crazy wind resulting in lots of down trees, sticks and leaves all over the place, down power lines, and much of the Northern Virginia/DC area without power for all or some of the weekend.
For my part, I was driving back from Office Boy's on Friday night and ended up having to pull over to the side of the road for about 30 minutes because it was raining so hard I couldn't see the road. Not exactly the most fun thing ever. My house has had power since Sunday morning, but we are still without internet. ((sigh))
Anyway...here's this weekend's Instagram Recap. Despite the storm, it was still a pretty fabulous weekend. :)
1) Little sister and I took a road trip up to the Springs so I could drop her off to volunteer for two weeks.2) Just part of the beautiful Springs property. Can you see why I love this place so much?3) Dinner Friday night. A Brazilian steakhouse with a salad bar and such and all you can eat meat! It was crazy! And sooooo good.4) Me and my roommate! (She was at dinner at the Brazilian steakhouse with me and Office Boy.)5) Office Boy decided I need to watch all of the old Batman movies.6) Dessert post-Brazilian steakhouse: Cold Stone ice cream. Yummm.7) Barbecue chicken teriyaki with basmati rice. Compliment of Office Boy. Quite delicious.8) The program from Saturday night's show of Hairspray.9) Curtain call for Hairspray. I had forgotten how great that show is.10) Finished "Till We Have Faces" for the second time Sunday. It'd been years since I read it and I had forgotten what a truly splendid book it is. C.S. Lewis was a genius.
