I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Mine was a weird combination of busy but relaxing (hence the title, and yes, I am aware that "relaxingly" is not technically a word). And now it's time for the Instagram Recap. :)
The weekend had a lovely start when Office Boy asked me on a date via email while we were both still at work. I have to admit, it was pretty darn adorable. We got pizza from Valentino's, an authentic New York pizza place not too far from his apartment. We contemplated going to see "21 Jumpstreet" in theatres, but Office Boy greatly dislikes a crowded movie theatre, so we decided we'd see it another time and instead watched "Serenity" so that my "Firefly" experience could be concluded. I don't want to give spoilers to anyone who hasn't seen it, but you are more than welcome to ask me about my opinion of the movie. Perhaps I shall write a post about it later (letting all readers know that it contains spoilers).
And here's the rest of the weekend in pictures.
1) Saturday morning started with the delightful joy of being able to open a fresh jar of peanut butter. I maintain that sticking the first knife into a jar of peanut butter is one of the simple joy's in life.2) Easter continuity rehearsal #2. Pretty much everyone's in costume now. Makeup will come soon. These are a few shots from backstage.
3) The finale of the Easter pageant during Saturday's rehearsal.
4) Office Boy's stuffed Simon (from Alvin and the Chipmunks). I think it's pretty adorable. :)5) Dinner Saturday night with Office Boy. Honey barbecue wings and some delicious wedge fries from Wing Zone. Oh, so healthy, right?
6) This morning's sermon was the second in a series from Psalm 119. It was absolutely fantastic. I love our new Lead Teaching Pastor's preaching style.
The weekend finished off with a 2.5 hour nap, another rehearsal, a much needed, 2-hour long conversation with big sister and an episode of "Saved by the Bell" (as I discovered that all 6 seasons are on Netflix, thanks to Office Boy).
Now it's 8:15pm and I am going to bed because even with getting 7-9 hours of sleep for the last three nights, and taking a 4 hour nap yesterday and a 2.5 hour nap today...I'm still wiped. Running around like a chicken with my head cut off is starting to catch up with me and if I don't get caught up on sleep soon, it won't be pretty.
