The thesis is a very important part of an essay because it summarizes what you have in mind for this essay and guides the reader in reading your essay accurately.
The introductory paragraph of any paper, long or short, should start with a sentence that piques the interest of your readers.
First, admit that it is impossible to say or do or write anything that will interest everybody. With that out of the way, the question then becomes: "What can a writer do that will secure the interest of a fair sized audience?"
Use techniques in your introduction to attract the audience's attention. There are many options for capturing the interest of your reader in the introductory paragraph. Share an anecdote (a personalized story), find a relevant quotation or make a controversial and surprising statement about the topic. Be creative in order to engage your audience.
