Yes, you and you and you. You are all beautiful. I guess I am in just a good mood today. The back pain I had discussed before has subsided greatly and I feel like I can walk like something other than a 90 year old grandma. I know the grandma look is hot and all, but I had to let it go.
Now that the old back is better, that means I can start my workout routine. I plan to start slow and steady and work my way up. Prior to this, I usually burnt myself by the first week. I would pressure myself into working out, get down on myself if I didn't, and get discouraged if I didn't lose any weight the first week. I lacked complete patience and knowledge about how this weight losing game worked. The thing is, I don't want to just lose weight, I want to be healthy and set good habits for myself. If I just focus on losing weight, I will be down and unhappy. If I focus on the changes I am making, I will be motivated and happy. So how do you make a girl enjoy working out, if she hates working out? Do things that I actually ENJOY! Now, I am not a runner. I have never been a runner, and right now, I don't think its realistic. I do, however enjoy a good walk. I even enjoy a good incline when I walk, especially on a treadmill. Give me a good book or a TV show to watch, and I forget I am even working out. I plan to start at 35 minutes this first week. I planned to work out at least 5 days a week, so once I have jumped the 'dreaded first week hurdle', I think I will be okay!
My diet has been a lot better this week as well. I know it's only three days in, but seriously I have not had one single fry, fried food, or piece of chocolate. Truthfully, I basically had the diet of a six year old's birthday party. I did have one soda yesterday because of my caffeine withdrawal headache, but other than that, only water and 1 cup of coffee! This is HUGE for me! I think focusing one day at a time is the trick too! I used to look way ahead and then I would get overwhelmed and quit. I just need to make smart choices daily and the rest will follow!
