It’s June: Help Support Alex’s Lemonade Stand with Rita’s Italian Ice #ad

Posted on the 05 June 2013 by Jamie Gall @50states50wines

Since 2006, Rita’s Italian Ice, has helped to support Alex’s Lemonade Stand every June to raise money to help fight childhood cancer.  Over the past 7 years, Rita’s Italian Ice, with the help of their loyal guests, have helped to raise 3.5 million by selling 1 dollar paper lemons that they proudly display on their “Wall of Hope.”  This year these paper lemons can be purchased from June 5th to 18th at over 625 Rita’s Ice locations.

This year, Rita’s Italian Ice is introducing the newly established “Rita’s Fund of Hope,” which will ensure the travel needs of families whose children are battling cancer are met.  Rita’s goal is to raise 1 million within the next 2 years.

About Alex’s Lemonade Stand:

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott.  4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of supporters across the country carrying on her legacy of hope.

Now one of my lucky readers has a chance to win 4 coupons for “FREE” Italian Ice at Rita’s Ice.
