My grandma treated me to a day out on the town this afternoon! She invited me to go shopping to find a perfect graduation gift. I was really surprised because she’s sort of throwing me a really extravagant graduation luncheon and I thought that was my gift. So when we drove to Macys and started parading around the jewelry counters I was overwhelmed.
This is what I chose…
It’s a necklace with a combination of white and rose gold with real diamonds. It’s so pretty!
I saw it hiding in the corner of one of the cases and I instantly knew it was the one. It’s so sparkly and dressy but it’s also fun for something casual if I put the pendent on a long chain. This has turned into my motivation to get my final paper done.
After jewelry shopping it was Lala Time. Grandma and I met Max at the Lala Grille for lunch.
Lala’s is a really hip little bar and restaurant. The chandeliers are so fun and modern, and the whole dining room is white with little pops of lime green, turquoise, and orange.
I even loved the little flower vase. They way they wrapped leaves around the glass to hide the stems is such a great idea.
I always have a hard time choosing what to order when I go to Lala’s. I usually have about four things that sound good and I can’t make the decision.
I chose to have the lunch special (a twice baked potato with a cup of soup) while munching on complimentary taro root and sweet potato chips. Aren’t the taro root chips awesome?!
I had to choose between clamb chowder and tomato-basil rice soup, and either a bacon cheddar, veggie cheddar, or crab gorgonzola potato. I definitely went crab gorgonzola.
Holy delicious! I couldn’t stop eating it and I’m never going to Lala’s any time other than lunch because that’s the only time I can get this meal.
Now I just need to buckle down and get my paper done. I don’t know what it is but this paper is really giving me a hard time. I wrote the last one in 3 almost 2 days. With this one I’m really dragging my feet. I’ve written 4 good pages and I’ve already signed (in blood) that I’m not sleeping until I have 7 to 10 pages.
It’s strange because between the two papers, this one’s topic is the one I like the best and have done the most research on. That’s why I left it for last. I didn’t want to write my favorite one and then have to struggle through the other.
But it’s time to rock it and get it done. I’m ready to be done with everything. Hopefully I’ll get on a role soon!
