It’s My Choices

Posted on the 14 August 2013 by Leah-Jlynn @Leah_Jamielynn

What if everything you believed in didn’t exist. The money in your hands turned to dust.

This would  throw your life on a boat, in a cusped on the river of denial and  truth.

As the harsh waters of ” told so”,

cackle,

swear,

ripple,

and thrash!

Relentlessly.

Leaving you restless in an unknown darkness.

Darkness, that holds no oars, no hope and never reasonable vision.

There’s panic,

anxiety,

and  disarray.

As,  glimpses of a dream disappear.

Left alone with cruel echoes, even after the water has calmed.

There you are disbelief,

alone,

fear,

and now here comes …..

The Promise, the Beacon , the Anchor  to pull you along.

As you hold on strong, wiping the tears away, you see your way.

For He has not forsaken you.

Your , choices have.

The End

This was inspired by a question at Proverbs31 Ministries , They asked what would give you more anxiety: Know there wasn’t a God or Finding out you have no money. My poem is on finding money. Because, there is no what if with me. However, that wasn’t the point of the question, which had familiar and relatable answers at Proverb31.org.

So, I thought I’d share with  dVsere Poets pub! Here’s my link for week 109.

Have a blessed evening and don’t judge those who don’t judge you ~Leah
