Between the long-awaited premiere of The Hobbit, the much-anticipated Apocalypse, Christmas Eve and New Year's , one can hardly find some peace. If for Easter peoplekill lots of lambs and eat them,
in my part of the world, when it's about celebrating Christ's
birth, people conclude that it's a good
time to slaughter their pigs and turn them into all sorts of sausages. I understand that in America you favor turkeys..which is preferable, if you ask me...less stringy
Surely Christmas is lovely, aside from the binge ..maybe. I am definitely a gourmand, but too much is too much, so these last days I preferred ignoring the carrot cake, the buttery cookies, the honey baclava and the smoked pig (how to smoke your own bacon) and indulged myself with toast, a cup of tea...and a skewer of chicken and vegetables roasted on the spit.I wish you all Happy holidays, all my kindest thoughts to you!
