John Islip Street SW1...

Hong Kong bollard...

Welcome to John Islip Street SW1 where I found these two dandy/ornate (modern) bollards (top picture).
With a circular base that morphs into a rather uncomfortable looking tapering (outwards/inwards) octagonal body that eventually rises vertically to form a ridged/inlay style that tapers inwards via a curved part that leads to a large half ball shaped top that is finished off with a near spike/nipple top.
Our #guestbollard (above) feature is from Hong Kong and what a beautiful ornate looking bollard it is. Please do take a look at the blog/site www.gwulo.com where they've taken a look at street furniture. I must say this bollard really is a wonderful find and would certainly look great on any London street/road.
