Just a few cool highlights that I can share:
1. I went on a road trip with my boss to visit some of the new upcoming GoodLife Fitness locations we are opening this spring and summer. We have new clubs opening coast to coast in the next 6-12 months, but the ones coming up the fastest that we visited this week are in: Guelph, Newmarket, Scarborough, Mississauga all in Ontario...which is in Canada (for the 6 people from France, 4 from Romania & 1 person from Chile that somehow found and read our blog). Part of my job is to update our construction webiste with photos of the clubs..shhhh don't tell anyone, but here are a few from our new location in Scarborough.
Exterior of the building. Check out how clear and blue the sky is? WOW!
One shot of the interior from the second floor. Sneak Peak!
2. I registered for my second half marathon last night. The Army Run in Ottawa Ontario on September 23rd 2012. The half marathon is already 83% sold out, so if anyone else is interested...I would first finish reading this blog post and then head over to www.armyrun.ca to register. The early bird rate ends today. Stay tuned for some more info on my running program. I did not discuss this little endeavor with my trainer before registering, so I will do that first and then set out a plan. I haven't run much farther then about 5-6 km this spring so far, but I have completed a half marathon before in in just over 2 hours. My goal for this one is 2 hours. Playlist song suggestions are welcome. Although I was thinking I would just listen to DMX Party Up on repeat on my ipod for 2 hours, but I suppose I could diversify. The other song I can run to on repeat is Still Not a Player by Big Pun feat. Joe. Two things to note: This this song is from 1998...can you believe it?? Also, Big Pun (aka Big Punisher or Christopher Lee Rios) was almost 700 lbs when he died of heart failure in 2009. RIP.
Happy Reading,
