Jared and I like to hang out. We hang out with friends, with the dogs, with our families, with randoms we meet. We're pretty social people, but sometimes we forget to hang out with just each other. Last Friday we had an absolute blast. We went out and got dinner with 2 other couples. Every one got along, chatted, laughed and had dinner. It was a lot of fun! After dinner we moved the party back home and played pool, watched TV and dominated at foozball until the wee hours of the morning. I went to bed feeling happy, fulfilled and peaceful.
This Saturday we have plans to go to the Salt Lake ReAl game with some more of our friends. See, we're a social couple and we always have these plans that we're looking forward to. Whenever we go out, Jared and I are together, but usually we're talking to other people, getting to know knew people, and just being social.
We decided that once a week we need to be social with one another and get some quality time in. Then a new tradition was born. Wednesday is our new date night. This is our 1 day a week that we just plan to go on a date, enjoy something with just the two of us. Yesterday all day at work I was giddy and waiting to go home and go on our date. When I got home I had butterflies waiting for my stud to walk through that front door and to whisk me away to Liquid Joes. That's a small local bar here. One of our friends was playing with a his band there so our date night was to go support. I loved it. I loved the car ride over there just talking with Jared. No one was waiting on us or expecting us to be somewhere at a certain time. I was texting to find out where the other couples were at. It was such an easy fun night. I loved having a fun experience with just J and I and I really loved sitting next to the hottest guy in the bar. We did end up running into some friends and our date night included more people and more conversation but the beautiful thing was we didn't have an obligation to entertain these other friends or to even sit with them. It was still just Jared and I at the core of the date night.
Now the question is, what are some fun dates to fill up our Wednesday nights? Do you do date nights?
