Whenever I ask Dora’s dad what gifts he might fancy for father’s day, he always shrugs it off and says he’s happy just to spend the day with us. Very sweet but not all helpful. I wanted to make his gift unique, thoughtful and a little bit quirky, just like him! Here’s what I ended up choosing, I think I picked well.
1. Something to wear – Aren’t these just the ultimate footwear to embrace one’s inner nerd? As a child of the 80s, I am sure he’ll get a kick out of them. Pac Man Havaianas retail for $24.99
2. Something for the office – I bought this cool R2-D2 mug for hubs last Christmas and would you believe that in the first week of him taking it to work, someone pinched it!? I know he really liked it, so for Father’s Day this year, I’m replacing it! This little beauty retails for $11.99 from Gifts For Blokes – they can ship within 24 hours!
3. An experience – We are so spoiled for choice these days with all of the deal type sites about. For a dad who really has just about everything, I couldn’t go past buying him an experience. We have both had experience sailing small boats and one of our dreams is to one day charter a yacht in the Whitsundays. I bought a three hour sailing lesson on a yacht and I have a feeling he’ll love it!
